The Colossus of Mountain View and its application for 3D visualization of the Italian roads must now deal with the Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 and its subsequent amendments. As reported by numerous press organs, the prosecutor in Rome, inspired by the findings of an investigation of the Privacy Guarantor, has opened an investigation into Google Street View to see if the cars used to map from the streets during the their paths or not to record sensitive and confidential information.
